     About Me

Miss Freddricka Pressley

A young woman of distinction, perseverance, endurance, I am Freddricka Pressley. I am currently a junior enrolled in Francis Marion University majoring in Middle-Level Education with a focus in English and Social Studies. I will be graduating with my Bachelors of Science in May of 2017. I have been actively engaged over the last three years in Campus Life here at Francis Marion University. This includes the Student Government Association where I currently serve as President the Student Alumni Association where I serve as Treasurer and I serve as the Head Orientation Leader. In the FMU Community I also serve as a Freshman Focus Mentor, an English 111 Lab Undergraduate Teaching Assistant  as well as an active mentor in my community.   I am an active member at Bethel A.M.E Church in Britton’s Neck, South Carolina. I am a member of our Youth Mass Choir, a Children’s Time Volunteer, and the Praise Dance Choreographer. For the Northeast Conference Branch of the Seventh District for African Methodist Episcopal Church, I serve as the Third Vice-President.

Upon graduating I will like to purse a master’s degree in Administration to become a Principal then purse a doctoral degree and superintendent certification to become a District Superintendent. My ultimate goal is to become South Carolina’s State Superintendent of Education. I am dedicated to making a difference in children’s lives one day at a time. With hard work, dedication, and determination I will accomplish these goals. I believe that I was put on earth to make a difference in others life through service. In my eyes the sky is the limit. I know that accomplishing my goals will not be easy, but I am up for the challenge.
